This course equips participants with essential skills to confidently respond to cardiac arrest and other life-threatening emergencies. It also provides comprehensive training on common workplace injuries and the application of appropriate first aid measures.

Programme Overview

Comprehensive Occupational First Aid is the art of rendering proper and correct assistance immediately during accidents and emergencies which can happen anywhere, at any time. This can minimize the resulting complication of injuries and to sustain life before the management of medical treatment. Therefore, this training is essential for every organisation.

Module 2: Advanced CPR Techniques and Choking Management

  • Usage of Defibrillation
  • Importance of Recovery Position
  • Hazards of CPR
  • Adult Choking Technique's
  • Infant CPR Technique's
  • Infant Choking

Module 3: Practical Application of Basic Life Support Techniques

  • One-Man CPR with AED
  • Two-Man CPR with AED

Day 2 (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

Module 1: Introduction to Emergency First Aid and Patient Assessment

  • Introduction to First Aid (ERT)
  • Qualities of First Aider
  • Introduction to Basic Muscular Skeletal & Central Nervous System
  • Patient assessment: Primary Survey
  • Patient assessment: Secondary Survey
  • Identifying Life Threatening Conditions
  • Managing Treatment Based on Priorities in relation to - ABCDE

Module 2: Emergency First Aid for Specific Injuries and Conditions

  • Management of Medical Shock (Type, Identification, Treatment)
  • Bandaging (Types & Basic Technique)
  • Management of Wounds & Bleeding (Type, Principles treatment)
  • Management of Spinal Injury (Identification, Victim care, Immobilisation & transportation)
  • Management of Chest Injury (Identification, Basic First Aid & Care)
  • Management of Abdominal Injury (Identification, Basic First Aid & Care)
  • Management of Fracture (Identification, Type, Immobilisation)
